About Us
Coach G, also known as Gabriel Rapier, is more than a coach; he is a mentor, a father, and a true pillar of the community. Born and raised in the Central District, Coach G's journey from a basketball star at Garfield High School to playing at Houston Baptist University, and ultimately becoming a dedicated coach, showcases his commitment to making sports accessible to everyone.
Mission: To bring competitive, small-sided play to the Central District, foster community spirit, provide consistent quality coaching at an affordable price, and revitalize playgrounds and outdoor play.
What Coach G enjoys most about coaching kids is witnessing their dedication to the process of improvement. He understands that true victories come from daring to fail and persevering through the learning curve. Those moments when a child grasps and successfully applies a new skill or concept are the highlights of Coach G's coaching journey.
Coach G's passion for soccer was once hindered by financial barriers. However, he overcame these challenges and has become a driving force behind the growing popularity of street soccer—an accessible alternative for aspiring young athletes in Seattle.
With over 15 years of coaching experience through the Seattle Public School District, the Archdiocese of Seattle, and Seattle Parks & Recreation, Coach G embodies the belief that sports are for everyone, fostering a sense of community and empowerment. He aims to be known as a homegrown kid who has done good for his community.
